Do you accept Insurance?

We are In-network with the Empire Plan, Cigna, Beacon Health Options, and Pomco. For other insurances, we are considered Out-of-Network.

How can I afford to pay for my sessions?

1-If we are Out-of-Network with your insurance, we can provide you with an Itemized receipt to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Many insurances provide reimbursement however each plan differs, therefore its important for you to call your insurance carrier to inquire about your particular benefits.

2-Use your Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Health Savings Account (HSA), and Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRA), offered through your employer to make payment. The benefit of using these savings accounts is that you are using Pre-Tax dollars to pay for eligible medical experiences (which will often include therapy services)

3-Create a savings plan in your budget just as would to purchase a new sofa or a set of dance classes. Therapy is an investment that is important to your development. The fact that you are reading this, shows that you are already understanding just how important therapy can be in creating growth.

4-Ask your partner, family member or close friend to help you if you are unable to make the cost on your own. Therapy can be given as a gift or reward.

Are Sessions Confidential?

Yes, they are. The only time sessions are not confidential is if we are concerned that you will take your own life, the life of someone else, if children are being abuse and in cases where records are being subpoenaed by the courts.

How do I know which therapist is right for me?

Many therapists will answer this question differently. For us, we believe that connection is important in any relationship. The best way to see if there is a connection between you and your therapist is to have an initial session. You will automatically know if you feel comfortable and if you are able to relate during this initial session.

What exactly is Therapy and how can it help me?

Therapy (also known as Psychotherapy or Counseling) is a process that involves the exploration of deeply rooted emotions and behaviors which create psychological distress in one's life. The therapist works with the client to identify, understand, and change those behaviors that are affecting and impacting one's life.

What can I expect at the first session?

You will always be treated with respect, nonjudgmental feedback and ongoing support. We take pride in our level of professionalism and work from an ethical standpoint. During your initial session, our goal is to help you to feel comfortable so that you are able to share your story with us. We recognize that taking this first step is not always easy and keep this in mind during our time together. A history is taken to better understand your concerns and session plans and goals are discussed during this session. If you and your therapist are able to connect and your therapist feels he/she can help you, then further sessions will be scheduled.
